OCTOBER 21ST SUNDAY: Annual Peach State Fall Picnic
This year it was help held at Stone Mountain Park. We have rented the Antique Auto
Pavilion, located on Robert E. Lee Blvd. at the Stone Mountain Antique Car and Treasure Museum parking lot. This is a premium pavilion
location and has a permanent grill pit available for our use. As a bonus, Mr. Protsman got us in the gate to the park for free and opened the Museum for our
group so we were able to nose our way through all the interesting memorabilia and cars that
have been collected over the past 40+ years.
A special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Protsman for hosting the Club for the day. They are shown in the first
picture below.

Hilton Head Concours d’Elegance Car Show November 3 - 4, 2007
(Report submitted by Lewis Schwartz)
We had a small contingency of fellow Peach State CLC members attend this year’s event. In attendance for the Saturday Car
Club Jamboree was Bob Winchell, Atlanta, with his 1976 Cadillac Fleetwood Eldorado Convertible and
Frank Perch, Savannah,
with his 1974 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, Sassy. Also showing was Danny
Ryder, Tate GA, with his 1970 Cadillac Commercial Chassis combo Hearse/
Ambulance representing the Professional Car Society group.
Sunday was the official opening of the main Concours d’Elegance Car Show. In attendance with cars officially in the show
were, Ed Goering and his lovely wife, Mary Ann with their 1941 Cadillac Series 63,
John Muller with his 1960 Cadillac
Pinin Farina bodied Eldorado Brougham, Rick Spitzmiller with his 1964 Cadillac Fleetwood Eldorado Convertible, and myself
(Lewis Schwartz) with my 1976 Cadillac Fleetwood Bicentennial Eldorado Convertible.
Rick won a Palmetto award for his outstanding 1964 Eldorado and that is quite a feat as there was tough competition on the
field. Congratulations Rick!
Also in attendance as one of the Esteem Judges for the event was Bill Tilden. And seen being seen was the lovely Marty
Comstock dressing in a very period outfit reviewing the show field. One of our newest members, Terry Bird, was also there
with friends. Though I did not see him, I am told Richard Hickok was there reviewing the fine iron on the field. I hope
I did not leave anyone out, (Shelly Barquist?). If I did please, let me know and I will make the correction.
All and all it was a very nice, well attended show and the weather could not have been better. This is a very nice up
and coming show and not far from Atlanta, maybe we should get a group together for the 2008 show.
