Bob’s garage in Marietta. Bob’s shop is a commercial condominium almost
directly across the street from the Marietta Daily Journal newspaper near
the Lockheed plant. From I-75 at Delk Rd take 280 south/west to
Fairground, turn right, go one block, turn right again on to Commerce Park
Drive. Go to the next to last driveway on the right. 505
Commerce Park Dr., Suite F, Marietta GA 30060. Bob’s cell is
404 731 4580. The garage is not heated, so we need it to be at least 50
degrees outside. We’ll keep you posted. We're hoping to do other clinics
in April and May, so do not despair if you cannot make the one in March.

1962 Cadillac Coupe DeVille
My Caddie is a 1962 Coupe de Ville. My
uncle bought the Caddie originally. When he passed away in 1973, my aunt
did not drive – so she gave the Caddie to my parents. My parents kept the
car only about a year. They considered themselves “car heavy,” so I
acquired the Coupe de Ville from them. My old, dependable Cadillac has
never let me down. It always gets me home without stopping. For example, in
1982, the oil light came on. The oil pump was going out and I was 50 miles
from my house! But as usual, my ’62 Cadillac got me home. It was a
wake-up call. At 208,000 miles I decided to have it restored. I did a major
restoration, rebuilding the transmission and motor, front-end and rear-end.
She also has new seats and new paint. The car currently reads over 260,000
miles, but it is still going strong. It’s one of my four daily drivers.

during the month of January, 2012 in
Galveston, Texas.
Our interests were represented by National Board Director, Martina Butler.

has finished our Club's new membership data base. This has been quite a job
and we thank him for all his work. Now the job falls to us, please, if you
change your email, phone, address or add / delete a car let Doug know. This
will ensure we have a complete and up to date membership data base that
benefits all of us. Please save the following new email address in your

dues are $25.00 – or you may pay a discounted rate of $65.00 for three
years. Please make your check payable to Peach
State CLC.
Our
newsletter, the TAILFIN, is usually about 12-pages, a full-color 8.5 x 11
Adobe document full of photos and news about recent and upcoming club
events. We normally distribute the TAILFIN six times a year as an
attachment to an email. If you cannot accept a 2.5 to 3.0 MB pdf file via
email, you may elect to have the TAILFIN delivered to your door in hard
copy format by adding $5.00 to your membership dues. The money goes to
offset the cost of black and white printing and postage. Currently,
we have 16 members who prefer the U. S.
Mail delivery option.
If
you can handle downloading the TAILFIN from an email, we encourage you to
do so – as it takes a lot of time to prepare those 18 mail-out TAILFINS.
